The Challenge.
Most borrowers find themselves struggling with these common challenges. Is this you?

- Credit guidelines are tightening, making it harder to qualify.
- National averages suggest 7 out of 10 borrowers cannot qualify at the time of application.
- There isn’t enough affordable housing inventory.
- Borrowers are intimidated by the everchanging loan process, and don’t know where to start.
- Information on the internet concerning the credit and homebuying is often wrong or outdated.
The Solution.
Oftentimes these solutions can be elusive, that’s where our years of experience can help.

Hello, my name is Ellen Cooper. I was a loan originator for over 20 years. I was a mortgage broker and owned my own company during the mortgage meltdown. It forced me to learn everything I could about credit and all the loan rules pertaining to credit. I spoke with a lot of underwriters and MI companies to understand it. I read every guideline book I could find pertaining to credit. What I found; was I love working with credit even more than I loved to originate loans. I have placed my originators license into an inactive status to pursue my passion.
My passion is credit and financial coaching. There is a big need for quality credit and financial education. As a former lender, I understand the importance of a credit report having integrity. I know it should be a true reflection of how a person utilizes credit; how they pay their bills. I do not, nor have I ever, endorsed credit repair. I understand the reps and warrants a lender must sign, saying they will not manipulate credit scores. That isn’t what we do.
So how can I confidently say 42% of the borrowers we work with are eligible to start their loan in an average of 48 days? Because that is our track record. No credit score manipulation, no tricks, or gimmicks.
Sometimes it feels like lenders may look at borrowers with less than stellar credit as if it is the borrower’s fault. Sometimes it is. Sometimes that isn’t the case. Here at The Loan Coach, we realize that someone with a past, regardless of whose fault it is, deserves a future. If you are tired of living on the poor credit train and are willing to work towards good credit, we will help you to legitimately achieve your goals.
Most are surprised at how quickly a few small changes in their credit usage will improve their credit scores. How, over time, using credit wisely will help you to move past a lifestyle of derogatory credit. Our goal isn’t to get you into a loan, but rather to share with you the tools to become good borrowers who know how credit should be utilized. Good borrowers that are prepared for the responsibility of home ownership.
We find most people would rather move past poor credit, but don’t’ know how to get back on track. Our hope is you will learn skills during your time with us that will enable you to not only get back on track, but to succeed in managing your finances and credit for years to come.
